An update on prescriptions

As we get busier, having more patients and having an increasing number of prescriptions to process, it is becoming increasingly clearer that we will need more time to process prescription requests safely and accurately.

For this reason we are now asking patients to give us five working days to process a request.

We would encourage patients to use either the NHS app or Patient Access to order their prescription requests in good time. We can no longer justify prioritising patients who are “running out of medications” above our other clinical work.

By using online services you will be able to track your request and see where your prescription request is in the process. This is by far the most time efficient way of ordering your prescriptions.
