Alert: Ongoing issue with blood test results from Southampton Hospital

On the 1st July a new IT system was introduced in the pathology lab at Southampton General Hospital. This has caused significant delays in blood results coming back to the surgery. This is outside of our control and is affecting all GP practices around the Southampton area. We are working hard to chase all outstanding results. Please be patient with our staff and if you are expecting a result which you have not had, please contact our reception team.

Non-urgent advice: eConsult

Please note the eConsult service is not monitored outside our normal surgery opening hours; Monday to Friday 8.00am till 6.30pm.

Whilst the eConsult advice service is still accessible 24/7, you are only able to submit a GP online consultation during normal working hours.

There may be occasions when due to the volume of incoming eConsult consultations, or at times of staff shortage, that we may not have sufficient available workforce to deal with this additional workload and it may be necessary to cap the number of eConsults we can accept.
