Online Prescriptions

You can order your Repeat Prescription Online using Patient Access.

All repeat prescriptions are computerised and you will be given a request slip listing the medications you can order without seeing a doctor. Requests can be made by ticking the items which you require.

Prescription requests can be brought to reception or posted. Finally it will be possible to order on-line to request your repeat prescription (see link above).

If your medications need reviewing you may be asked to attend the surgery before more medication can be issued.

Please note that prescription requests are not normally taken over the telephone.

Electronic Prescription Service

ONCE YOU HAVE ORDERED YOUR PRESCRIPTION
, our surgery is now able to generate electronic prescriptions.

This means that if you collect repeat prescriptions you will not have to visit us just to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, we can send the prescription electronically to the place you choose, saving you time.

The prescription is an electronic message so there is no paper prescription to lose. You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.

Full details of the service are available here but alternatively why don’t you speak to your pharmacist, GP or a member of our prescribing team.

REMEMBER
Step 1 – Order the prescriptions first (either online or by dropping your order slip into the surgery)
Step 2 – We can then use the Electronic Prescription Service to send your prescription directly through to the chemist of your choosing, saving you the need to collect it yourself.

Chemist Collection Service

Several of the local chemists operate a collection service. Please speak to your pharmacist for details. If you let us know your preferred chemist the prescription will be collected by that chemist. You can then pick up your tablets directly from the pharmacy without having to collect the prescription at the surgery.
