Update on COVID-19 booster vaccinations

Patients may be aware that the Government has released details of the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme.

Under Government guidelines, the booster vaccination will be offered to:

  • Care home residents
  • Health and social care workers
  • People aged over 50
  • Those aged 16 to 49 years with underlying health conditions that put them at higher risk of severe COVID-19
  • Adult carers
  • Adult household contacts of immunosuppressed individuals

The NHS will contact you once you’re eligible to receive the COVID-19 booster vaccination.

We are working through a priority order so that all those eligible will be able to receive their booster from six months after their second dose to allow more vulnerable people to be given their vaccination faster.

We will get in touch and invite you in for your vaccination when it is your turn. We thank you for your continued understanding and look forward to inviting you.

Thank you.
