COVID Vaccine News: 11/03/21

We our pleased to say that the Waterside PCN COVID vaccination program is moving at pace. We now have an additional dedicated group of volunteer vaccinators who are helping to staff the clinics, whilst the three surgeries try to maintain full operating levels simultaneously. A huge thanks go out to them for giving up their time.

First Vaccination Clinics
This week week we are vaccinating the final patients in groups 4 and 6, and those in group 5 who did not respond to the national booking system and attend the larger national vaccination centres.

From next week (commencing 15th March) we will be inviting patients in group 7. Patients in group 8 will be invited by the national booking system and that is starting to roll out already, and hopefully we will be moving into group 9 within the next couple of weeks.

Second Vaccination Clinics
In addition to the first vaccination clinics, we are now rolling out the second vaccination clinics. These are very carefully monitored to make sure patients only receive the same vaccine they had first time around. Please respond to your invite as soon as you receive it as we need to ensure you attend the correct clinics

As ever, our advice is to please be patient, as everyone will be invited. If you have booked via the national booking system and receive a subsequent SMS invite from the surgery, please cancel our invitation as this will allow us to invite someone else instead.
