COVID Vaccine News: 14/12/20

At last our vaccination programme is starting!

We are pleased to confirm that the first delivery of vaccine to the Waterside Primary Care Network (the collaborative group of Waterfront & Solent Surgery, Red & Green Practice, and Forestside Medical Practice) is scheduled to arrive on Friday 18th December.

The Waterside Primary Care Network will be delivering the vaccine to patients at our dedicated vaccination site based at Applemore Leisure Centre and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the team there for hosting us.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. Initially we will receive just one box of 975 Pfizer/BioNTech COVID vaccines to use across the population of all three practices.
2. We will invite patients individually. Please do not telephone us or arrive without a scheduled appointment.
3. The vaccine will be given in order of priority to those highest at risk first.
4. It is essential, if you are given a vaccine, that you return for the second part of the vaccination on the date that you are advised to. We will book both vaccination appointments at the same time.

Meanwhile, we all need to keep to the advice of hand-washing, face masks and social distancing but we all look forward to the time when we will return to life as normal.

We are in this for the long haul, and so please be patient. If you are eligible, your turn will come.
